Her parents noticed that her belly abruptly increased in size and her body became mature enough. While Josefina was setting the table, little Maria came down, complaining her brother was taking too long in the bathroom. Josephina yelled at the boy to stop playing in the bathroom and let his sister go wash up. In the meantime, Josefina received a text from her husband and decided to reply while the kids were still in the bathroom. She texted him back and continued preparing the breakfast table. She continued texting her husband while serving breakfast and managed to do it all in time. The kids went to school and Josefina stayed at home. Two hours later, she received a horrific call from the school.<br /><br />The school called to inform her that both of her children were rushed to the hospital after feeling sick and feverish. Josefina immediately went to the hospital with her husband where doctors informed her that they couldn’t lower their temperature. She couldn’t believe what was happening; just a few hours ago the kids were fine. The doctors suspected that a bacterium, salmonella was the culprit for the high fever, but need to do some tests to be sure.<br /><br />After detailed analysis, they concluded that the bacterium was in the breakfast Josefina prepared for them just this morning. After analyzing how the breakfast was made and what she was doingin the meantime, the doctors concluded that the bacteria were probably transferred from her mobile phone to the food, because she was texting while serving breakfast. They stressed out that our phones are covered with bacteria, which sometimes ends up in our food and has fatal consequences.<br /><br />Josefina was devastated. Finding out that she caused this, that her children were sick because of her mistake crushed her. The doctors did all they could but they couldn’t save the two poor souls. She was in agony and wanted to die right there and then, she couldn’t bear to go on without her children.<br /><br />The doctors advised her that she could use this horrific experience as a cautionary tale and spread the word to all other parents and warn them to never use their phones while preparing food. She made it her mission to spread the word and never let anything like this happen to another parent ever again.

She is so taken aback, that she feels the need to write the following, very powerful, open letter to young people everywhere.<br /><br /><br /><br />Check this out:<br /><br />“DEAR GIRL IN THE GREEN BATHING SUIT:<br /><br />I am the woman sitting on the towel beside you. The one who came with a little boy and girl.<br /><br />First of all, I want to say I’m having a really nice time sitting by you and your friends, in this brief moment where our spaces touch and our laughter meets. I enjoy the “transcendental“ chat and how the music from your loudspeaker fills my air.<br /><br />You know? I’m kind of amazed because I don’t know at which moment of my life I went from being there to here: from being the girl to being the “lady beside you.” From being the one who comes to the beach with her friends to the one coming with her kids.<br /><br />But I am not writing you because of that. I am writing you because I would like to tell you that I noticed you. In the meantime, you were there looking down at the ground, searching for a hiding place within yourself, from yourself.<br /><br />And I would like to tell you so many things, dear girl in the green bathing suit, maybe because I, before being the woman with the kids, have been there, on your towel.<br /><br />I would like to tell you that actually, I have been on your towel and your friend’s towel. I have been you and I have been her. And now I am neither, or maybe I am still both. So if I could go back in time, I would choose to just enjoy instead of worry, and choose not to boast. For now, I would like to be on any towel.<br /><br />I would like to tell you that I saw you carrying a book in your bag, and that your 16-year-old stomach will probably lose its smoothness before you lose your head.<br /><br />I would like to tell you that you have a beautiful smile and that it’s a pity that you are so busy trying to hide yourself that you don’t have time to smile more often.<br /><br />I would like to tell you that the body you seem so ashamed of is beautiful because it’s young. What the hell! It’s beautiful because it’s alive. Because it’s the transportation of who you really are and will be with you in everything that you do.<br /><br />I would like to tell you that I wish you could look at yourself with the eyes of a 30-something-year-old, because then you would realize just how worthy you are of being loved, even by yourself.<br /><br />I would like to tell you that the person who really loves you one day will not love the person you are in spite of your body, but will adore your body: every curve, every dimple, every line, every mole. This person will love the map, unique and beautiful, that your body draws. It’s hard to believe this can happen in our modern hospitals, but it does. It happens all the time. The study subjects didn’t make any other dietary or lifestyle changes. Furthermore, an ultrasound device was used by the researchers to assess the endothelium (the inner lining of their blood vessels) of each participant. To be more specific, flow-mediated arterial dilation was measured to evaluate arterial elasticity, which is essential for blood vessels health.<br /><br />During the trial, the turmeric group was given the equivalent of 1 teaspoon of turmeric a day while the exercise group did supervised aerobic exercise training 2-3 times a week plus an unspecified amount of home-based training, such as cycling and walking. Each session lasted between 30-60 minutes and ranged in intensity between 60-75% of maximal heart rate.<br /><br />At the end of the study, the researchers found that both the turmeric and the exercise group had greatly improved endothelial function. But the most interesting thing was that the results of both groups were almost identical, which indicates that daily turmeric intake provides the same effect as daily exercise in preventing, reducing and even reversing endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis.<br /><br />No Surprise<br /><br />This study followed a 2012 study conducted by the Chiang Mai University of Thailand. The Thai study revealed that turmeric reduced the frequency of heart attack after coronary artery bypass by 56% when turmeric was administered daily 3 days before surgery and 5 days post-surgery. The spice influenced the cardiovascular system by modulating C-reactive protein, plasma maondialdehyde, and N-terminal pro-B-type naturietic peptide levels.<br /><br />In the words of the researchers: “The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of curcuminoids may account for their cardioprotective effects shown in this study…curcuminoids decrease proinflammatory cytokines during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery and decrease the occurrence of cardiomyocytic apoptosis after cardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury in animal models.”<br /><br />In other words, turmeric can reduce inflammation and protect endothelium cells against damage and death.<br /><br />The best way to reap turmeric’s cardiovascular benefits is to include a teaspoon of turmeric powder into your daily dietary regimen. You can also opt for a glass of freshly squeezed turmeric juice daily. To increase the absorption of turmeric into your body, you should combine it with coconut or olive oil and black pepper.<br /><br />Last, but not least, making your own turmeric capsules is also an option if you don’t like the taste of turmeric.<br /><br />Note: When including turmeric into your diet, it’s important to remember not to mix it with other medications.<br /><br /><br /><br />Also, turmeric can’t replace all the benefits of regular physical activity. This was mainly due to the fact that hormonal imbalances, especially higher estrogen levels contribute to the proliferation of breast cancer cells. The claims only got louder when a study confirmed the presence of parabens in tissue samples from human breast tumors. However, the study couldn’t give proof that parabens were the cause for the breast tumors or that they’re only found in cancerous breast tissue or that the accumulation of paraben was a result of extensive use of these personal hygiene products. This means that there was not enough proof to make a direct link between the two.<br /><br />Additionally, if you have any doubts we can inform you that the majority of deodorant and antiperspirant brands don’t even contain parabens so check if yours do and replace it if you like.<br /><br />At the moment there’s no proven connection between breast cancer and the use of deodorants or antiperspirants.
